stories, podcasts and binge thinking about this and that and where and when and witches…

Podcasts

I’ve had a lot of fun over the last couple of years creating podcasts, and here is where you can find them…

Zip to iTunes or Soundcloud if you would like to know more…

Most of them are short stories from my Boneditch horror and mystery anthology, but several are standalone essays and bits of binge thinking that I enjoyed writing… Here’s one about folk witch Crazy Jane, another about The Devils and Belle de Jour, and one about Daphne du Maurier and Alice Sheldon, for instance…

And every now and again, my good friend Rob Daniel from www.electric-shadows.com lets me appear on one of his film podcasts with his splendid colleague Rob Wallis from www.ofallthefilmsites.com… They’re a lot of fun – we often go back and celebrate the anniversaries of old films… he’s put together podcasts on JFK, Reservoir Dogs, Batman, Night of the Living Dead, and Bill Hicks on the 25th anniversary of his death (yes, he was a comedian, but he loved his movies, so we didn’t have to work too hard to crowbar in some film references)

To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, Rob put together a Dead American Trilogy of shows… Here’s the first instalment, looking back on the patient zero movie that started it all:

and here’s the follow-up: Rob’s show about Night’s two incredible sequels, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead…
